Cleaning of components
for high-tech applications

Precisely manufactured components deserve equally precise cleaning. At WASSERMANN TECHNOLOGIE, we develop the right process for every geometry and every material – from delicate small parts to complex assemblies and large structural components. The aim is always to deliver your components clean, safe and ready for immediate use.

We have state-of-the-art cleaning systems at our disposal that guarantee reproducible results and reliably remove a wide range of contaminants – from dust and particles to grease, chemical residues and organic substances. Depending on the application, we use processes such as immersion, spraying, high-pressure or ultrasonic cleaning. We also use superheated steam equipment and our in-house treated osmosis water, which ensures virtually residue-free cleanliness.

Depending on the component, drying is carried out by spinning, air or nitrogen flow or by means of hot air. If required, accompanying laboratory analyses ensure compliance with defined limit values for particles or residues.

Our graduated processes – from pre-cleaning to ultra-fine cleaning – meet the highest requirements and are tailored to sectors such as the semiconductor industry, optics, medical technology and aerospace.

Small parts cleaning at the highest level Precision, purity and process reliability for every detail

In our modern cleaning line, small parts from precision production are cleaned reliably, reproducibly and according to customer-specific requirements.

The combination of state-of-the-art ultrasonic technology, controlled environmental conditions and coordinated process parameters ensures that every component achieves the required level of cleanliness.

Key Facts:

  • Max. Component size: 610 × 428 × 282 mm
  • Max. Weight: 50 kg
  • Wet-on-wet process to avoid drying out
  • Drying: compressed air or vacuum hot air

Large-scale cleaning under controlled conditions Purity even for large dimensions

Cleaning large components places special demands on the technology, environment and process reliability. While smaller components can be reliably cleaned to a high-purity level in fully automated systems with several baths and a high degree of automation, these processes are not technically transferable for large and heavy workpieces.

In our new cleaning system for large parts, even massive and complex components are cleaned reproducibly and under strictly controlled conditions.
This ensures that even large-volume components achieve the required cleanliness – precisely, efficiently and documented.

Key Facts:

  • Max. Component size: Length 3,500 mm × width 2,000 mm × height 2,000 mm
  • Max. Weight: 900 kg
  • Wash container with stainless steel cladding in the interior
  • Drying with purified compressed air or nitrogen
  • Testing and packaging in an ISO 7 environment

With this new technology, we are expanding our range of services to include the precise and reproducible cleaning of large-format components – for high-purity quality in any size.

In-process quality control Reliable tests for verifiable purity and maximum process reliability

To ensure that your components reliably meet the required cleanliness standards, we rely on consistent quality control throughout the entire cleaning process. Even after pre-cleaning, we check visually and – depending on requirements – with particle and residue measurements whether all steps meet the specifications.

This continuous monitoring makes it possible to make adjustments at an early stage and guarantees a reproducible, documented result at the end – precisely tailored to industry-specific requirements. We have modern in-house methods such as microscopy, black light and white light testing at our disposal. We also work with specialized laboratory partners to carry out further analyses such as residual gas measurements or particle determinations in accordance with standards.

All test and analysis results are carefully documented and serve as proof of quality for our customers. In this way, we create a secure basis for the successful use of your products in highly sensitive industries such as semiconductor technology, optics, medical technology or aerospace.

Cleanroom-compatible packaging Packaging systems that reliably protect your components.

Absolute cleanliness counts in high-tech applications – and this does not end with component cleaning.

To ensure that your sensitive components arrive in perfect condition, we rely on sophisticated packaging systems that are far more than just a simple wrapping.

Depending on customer requirements, our packaging processes are carried out under strictly controlled cleanroom conditions of ISO classes 7 to 5, with trained specialists ensuring compliance with the highest purity standards. We use high-quality film composites with minimal outgassing and low particle generation, which are subjected to extensive quality tests beforehand.

Your components are double-packed as standard – in moisture-proof special film and additional cleanroom-compatible polyethylene film. For particularly demanding requirements, we even offer a triple packaging system.

Modern vacuum packaging units and high-purity materials ensure that your products leave our cleanroom in perfect condition and remain optimally protected from environmental influences until they are used by you.

Whether delicate precision components or large-format assemblies – we guarantee you maximum packaging security and preserved component cleanliness that you can rely on.
