Machining at WASSERMANN TECHNOLOGIE stands for precise, reliable and reproducible production of complex components – from individual parts to series production.

In our machining department, we combine state-of-the-art turning, turning-milling, milling and grinding technologies to create a high-performance production network. We machine complex geometries and materials with tight tolerances and defined surface qualities on highly automated machine tools.

Our production is consistently designed for industrial applications with high demands on dimensional accuracy, process stability and cost-effectiveness. By combining modern CNC technology, intelligent automation, integrated CAD/CAM processes and many years of manufacturing experience, we create robust solutions for technology-driven industries.

We do not view machining in isolation, but as an integral part of a holistic production process – coordinated with downstream steps such as cleaning, assembly and quality inspection.

In turning and turn-milling, we manufacture complex rotationally symmetrical components with the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, surface quality and process reliability. Our modern turning technology covers a wide range of components – from small precision parts to large-format workpieces for demanding industrial applications.

By using high-performance turning and turning/milling centers with counter spindles, driven tools and large Y-travels, we achieve high-precision machining in just a few set-ups. Automated workpiece loading and modern control technology guarantee reproducible quality, short throughput times and cost-effective production – even for complex geometries and medium to large quantities.

CNC milling and hard milling for complex geometries, large components and maximum precision.

We operate up to thirteen modern milling centers in our milling shop, including high-performance 5-axis machining centers with automated tool and pallet handling. This equipment enables flexible, efficient and reproducible machining of sophisticated components – from individual parts to series production.

Even large-format workpieces are in safe hands with us: With maximum workpiece dimensions of up to 5,000 × 3,000 mm and tolerances in the range of 0.04 to 0.08 mm, we realize precise milling operations for a wide range of industrial applications. Thanks to high travel distances, modern CAD/CAM systems and end-to-end tool management, we manufacture complex 3D contours and function-critical components economically and reliably.

Focus on perfect surfaces and tight tolerances Sanding technology for maximum dimensional and shape accuracy

Grinding technology for maximum dimensional accuracy and excellent surface finishes – even with difficult-to-machine materials.

Our grinding machines enable the precise machining of demanding components where conventional machining processes reach their limits. With processes such as cylindrical, surface and profile grinding as well as non-circular machining, we meet the highest requirements in terms of shape accuracy, dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

The grinding process is crucial for the performance and service life of the components, particularly in the case of function-critical contours and complex curve geometries. Where hard milling is no longer sufficient, we achieve reproducible quality with very tight tolerances and defined surfaces up to Rz 0.8 through precise grinding.

Our many years of experience, combined with modern grinding technology, enable us to achieve stable processes and consistently high results, even with difficult-to-machine materials.

Machining of selected materials consistently process-oriented

Our machining is designed for materials that meet the highest standards of precision, cleanliness and process reliability.

We process selected metals such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum in our own production facilities. These materials are optimally matched to our production processes, quality standards and the requirements of our target industries – particularly in semiconductor technology, vacuum and coating systems and mechanical engineering.

We deliberately avoid the internal machining of classic non-ferrous metals. This is due to industry-specific requirements for cleanliness, material separation and process stability. For applications requiring non-ferrous metals or plastics, we rely on qualified external partners who reliably meet our quality requirements.

In this way, we ensure that every component – regardless of the material – meets the required technical and process standards.
